"50th Anniversary of death of Alessandro Manzoni", Italian poet and novelist. 1923 stamps of Italy overprinted for use in Cyrenaica (eastern region of the Italian Colony of Libya) in 1924. The same stamps exist overprinted for use in Tripolitania (western region of the Italian Colony of Libya).
